ABOUT BM STAIRLIFTS
From our experience, BM Stairlifts suggest that before deciding which company to use, you should establish the following:

  • - Are the company reputable?
  • - Will they carry out the work themselves using trained engineers employed by them?
  • - Who will take responsibility of the stairlift after-care service?
  • - Is there a 24 hour call-out service in the event of a breakdown?

Our aftersales service is one of our main selling points as we provide phone support 365 days of the year and call-out within 24 hours.

STAIRLIFT INSTALLATION & DELIVERY

A straight stairlift can be supplied and fitted within a day or two. If you require a curved stairlift, it will take approximately three weeks from date of order.
Installing a stairlift is a one-day process that generally takes between 3-4 hours. In some cases, we may need to perform additional works such as a step alterations, relocatation of radiators, and/or add extra electrical works (like moving or installing a socket) before our engineers arrive to fit the stairlift.
A stairlift bolted and secured to the steps of the stairs. the side of stairs is determined by which is more suitable and allows most clearing for users.
Yes, if there is a door at the bottom of the stairs, we would install a stairlift with a powered folding hinge rail, which would automatically fold up out of the way, allowing clearance at the bottom. If there is a radiator at the bottom, we would have it relocated.
Stairlifts are installed directly into the steps of your stairs so if you’re planning on changing the carpet on your stairs it would be best to do so prior to installation. This will save you from having to take out and reinstall the lift in the future, saving you money. Additionally, our engineers will remove handrails on the wall side of your stairs during installation, but they do not fill in the holes left by the screws or redecorate in any way – such as painting.
Our stairlifts are the most slimline available on the market and fit all kinds of stairs, even if your stairs are exceptionally narrow, there are always options to get you upstairs!
Yes, our curved stairlifts are made to order and precisely fit your stairs therefore it does not matter how many turns there are on your staircase.
Yes, all our stairlifts are the most slimline lifts available on the market. The stairlifts fold away neatly, providing ample space for other people to continue using the stairs as normal.

If the stairlift is not being used regularly, it is important that you operate the stairlift one or twice a week to ensure that the batteries do not deplete.
If you require the stairlift to travel to you, be it top or bottom, you can simply use the remote control to send the stairlift back up the stairs. All new stairlifts come with two remote controls for you to have one upstairs and downstairs.
It is not advisable to leave your stairlift off charge, if you do this will deplete the batteries and they will need replacement, incurring a call-out charge.
